Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Subscription Overview

NannyLedger is offered as a monthly subscription service by Asterium LLC, a Delaware limited liability company doing business as NannyLedger ("NannyLedger," "we," "us," or "our"). Your subscription renews automatically each month on the anniversary of your sign-up date. You may cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

2. Getting Started

Your subscription begins immediately upon sign-up. You will be billed at the start of each monthly billing cycle. If you cancel, you retain access through the end of your current billing period.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page in your account settings. Cancellation is effective immediately, but you retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period. After that period ends, your account reverts to a limited state. Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation, during which you may resubscribe to restore full access. After 90 days, payroll data is retained as required by tax regulations (minimum 5 years for IRS compliance) but your account configuration is deleted. To cancel, navigate to Settings > Billing > "Cancel Subscription" or email support@nannyledger.com.

4. Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with NannyLedger. Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis under the following guidelines:

Billing Errors

If you were charged in error (duplicate charge, charge after cancellation, or incorrect amount), we will issue a full refund within 5 business days of notification. Please contact support@nannyledger.com with your account email and a description of the error.

Service Outage

If NannyLedger experiences a service outage lasting more than 24 consecutive hours that prevents you from processing payroll during a pay period, you may request a prorated credit for the affected period. Credits are applied to your next billing cycle.

First-Month Dissatisfaction

If you are unsatisfied with NannyLedger within the first 30 days of your paid subscription, you may request a full refund of your first monthly payment. This applies to first-time subscribers only and is limited to one refund per household.

Payroll Already Processed

Once payroll has been submitted for processing (tax calculations initiated, direct deposits queued, or tax filings submitted), the subscription fee for that period is non-refundable. This is because third-party processing costs are incurred at the time of submission and cannot be reversed.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@nannyledger.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include: your account email address, the date and amount of the charge, the reason for the refund request, and any supporting documentation (e.g., screenshot of duplicate charge). We will respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

6. State-Specific Rights

Certain states provide additional consumer protection rights that may affect refund eligibility. If your state of residence provides broader cancellation or refund rights than described in this policy, those rights apply. California residents may cancel within 30 days of initial subscription for a full refund under the California Automatic Renewal Law (Bus. & Prof. Code 17600-17606). If you believe state law entitles you to a refund not covered above, please contact us and we will evaluate your request in accordance with applicable law.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our website at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
